Skill Level: Intermediate – must be able to spin a fine, lace weight yarn

Want to have a strong yarn without plying or felting? Learn Wanda’s method, Stranded Silk Spinning, for incorporating silk strands into your spinning. You’ll also learn chain-plying as you spin the singles, commonly known as Ply on the Fly. You will spin pygora/wool and silk thread into enough yarn to begin making a simple beaded necklace during class. crochet & knit patterns designed and supplied by Wanda.
Students should bring Spindles, Needles/ hooks, Jenkins Spindles will be available in class. Bring 2 – US2 dpn if you plan to knit the necklace, or a C hook if you want to crochet it.
